On Thurday 7th September twelve RSCJ from ten different Provinces were welcomed to probation (a programme of preparation for perpetual vows) in Rome. Among them were three who have spent time in this Province: Yukiko from Japan, who was here for 20 months in 2013-14, studying; Ibrahim from Egypt, who spent the summer of 2016 here learning English before going to The Philippines for her international experience, and more recently, Milagritos from Peru, who was here for six months learning English before going to Rome. Whilst all probanists are our sisters these three feel especially 'ours'!
In her opening conference Barbara Dawson RSCJ, Superior General, reminded them:
God chose you to be a woman of his Heart, a Religious of the Sacred Heart who lives her call within a community of women, all of whom commit themselves to live the charism of Sophie to “discover and make known the love of the Heart of Jesus”. My prayer is that you will help each other live this call of love.
