Collaborating with other provinces
The Ireland-Scotland and England-Wales provinces are collaborating over a plan to offer short term placements for adults to serve in the developing world, living and working alongside rscj communities, initially in Uganda/Kenya province. Through this initiative the provinces would be encouraging awareness raising of development issues, including poverty. There would be a well-planned educational experience for participants: stimulating, preparing and encouraging a continued involvement with development issues, faith in action and the rscj family. More details will be made available further into the planning process.
Collaborating with France-Belgium-Netherlands:
Meanwhile the Belgium-France-Netherlands Province has a programme in place for volunteers who could work in non English speaking countries, though volunteers will find that the preparation programmes will be in Europe.
