For several years RSCJ from England-Wales and Ireland-Scotland have come together every other year for a "Gathering"; an opportunity to spend time together, and get to know each other better.
The 2019 Gathering took place from 23rd - 26th April (during Easter week), at Drumalis House in Larne, Co Antrim. In this lovely house, with its extensive grounds and proximity to the coast, forty-four RSCJ from England, Ireland and Scotland enjoyed three very inspiring and stimulating days reflecting on the calls and the mysticisim of Laudato Si. We were simultaneously nourished and challenged on the Wednesday and Thursday by our two guest speakers, Dympna Mallon and Brian Grogan SJ, as well as by our prayer together, our reflections on what we had heard, and sharing on our sources of hope in today's world.
The pace was relaxed, with time for leisure and creativity, and a coach trip up the coast and around some of the Glens of Antrim - during which the forecast rain held off until after our return. We left Drumalis grateful for this time together, and for the sisters and staff at the centre, who did so much to ensure our Gathering ran smoothly and felt like a time of blessing for us all.
