As we live on the same campus as Duchesne House Community our focus is there. Frances and Mon do the sacristy and liturgy, Lucia is an important presence to our sisters, especially those whose minds are failing, Joan fills in where needed. Recently, due to our own needs, we are welcomed to share the main meal with Duchesne and are supported by the staff for advice and sometimes actual help. We are so grateful for this. We are also happy to share in activities and celebrations with Duchesne Community.

Our life in community is very simple. As health problems arise we are mutually supportive. Activities are limited due to old age but we certainly keep the NHS going in our area with frequent hospital appointments and surgery visits!!  In general we are most appreciative of the care and respect we receive.

Hospitality is an important value for us. Various travellers on their way through London have spent a day or two with us, thus linking us with other provinces.

We try to be aware of world and local issues. These are often the focus of our community prayer. We make efforts to respond to appeals usually via the internet. We recognise the importance of ecological issues. In practical terms this means shopping intelligently, supporting fair trade, re-cycling and reminding each other about carbon footprints!
