Newcastle, Wingrove Road community - Janet

Hello! Im Janet, and in September 2012 I became a candidate with the Society.

I originally hail from Tamworth in Staffordshire, but I have spent the past two and a half years living in Washington, Tyne and Wear where I am the Deanery Youth Co-ordinator for St. Michaels Deanery. It is a great privilege to be part of what the Deanery is trying to achieve; being a place where young people know they are loved and valued both by the parish communities but also by the God who is Love.

I have been working with young people for the last ten years in retreat centres, local council and now for the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. In this time I have learned so much about the struggles many young people face, but also their great capacity for joy and fun! Now seems like the right time for me to listen more attentively to where Jesus may be leading me.

As I begin this time of discernment with the Society I know an exciting, challenging, joy and hope filled time awaits. I cant wait to find out what Jesus has in store.
