Prayer and reflection - God is our telos
The centenary of Janet Stuart's death was 21st October 2014
It is the gift of your heart that God wants above all in your prayer, that you may both give to him and receive from him. Keep it always uplifted with great expectations. Expect, expect again. Remember how much you are to God and what he thinks of your value. God is our end, our telos. Dwell on this. God will only have gods for his sons and daughters... We can never exhaust the possibilities of our vocation. (Conference given by Janet Stuart at Roehampton, 1914)
