October is the month when we celebrate Mater Admirabilis (on the 20th), an image of Mary as a young girl which has become a much-loved feast throughout Sacred Heart places of learning. The following day is the anniversary of the death of Janet Erksine Stuart RSCJ, a gifted and charismatic Englishwoman who became our sixth Superior General, and the centenary of whose death we commemorated two years ago.
To celebrate these two events we will be scouring Society blogs and websites and delving into our archives in order to find reflections, prayers and articles on both Mater and Janet Stuart. These will be shared every day throughout October via our Facebook page and Twitter feed.
